Are you Eligible for Fees Free?

All of our Level 3 – 5 courses are eligible to be Fees Free through the Tertiary Education Commission. The process for this has changed in 2025, where it has become ‘last year fees free’. Fees need to be paid upfront to Land Based Training and then, if eligible, a refund will be granted from IRD. You can find out if you’re eligible through the Inland Revenue – Fees Free website.

AGRICULTURE COURSES

Whether you are just starting in the farming industry, have a foot in the door or been farming for awhile our level 3 to level 5 courses in Agriculture are here to help.

APICULTURE COURSES

Interested in setting up your own beehives? Our level 2 and 3 Apiculture courses are here to help you get a better understanding of how to develop the best hives!

HORTICULTURE COURSES

Develop your green thumb further – with courses from level 2 through to level 4 there is something for whatever stage of learning you are ready for.

CONSTRUCTION AND INFRASTRUCTURE COURSES

With over 40,000 people needed to work in the contruction and infrastructure industry our level 2 and 3 courses can help give you a foot in the door.

ENVIRONMENTAL CARE COURSES

As we work towards a sustainable and predator free New Zealand by 2050 our courses in pest control and sustainability will help to expand your knowledge and give you the tools you need.

SCHOOLS AND GATEWAY COURSES

Our STAR, Gateway and Short Courses which range from short block courses to full programmes give us a platform to partner with Secondary Schools and provide and opportunity to students.

KEEP EDUCATING YOURSELF (KEY)

Our KEY programme works with students to build confidence, develop life skills, increase numeracy and literacy and prepare them for their future.
