The Ministry of Social Development (MsD) Rotorua whanau, invited Operations Manager Bob Pearce to be part of the Growing Role Models Expo held in Te Kaha on Friday 15 November 2024. It was truly inspiring to see the community come together with such enthusiasm to share knowledge and opportunities for their rangatahi. Witnessing the collective effort to support and uplift the next generation was both heartwarming and motivating.
Bob was privileged to be able to share Land Based Training’s course program with rangatahi and Tangata Te Whenua, and to discuss in detail how the various courses could empower the community to achieve greatness. The powhiri at Te Kura o Te Whānau ā Apanui was most welcoming and it was so good to be able to share with the community, in the community.
Bob was also grateful for the opportunity to catch up with his good friend and founder of the Wild Horses program, Willie Apiata VC. Wille is doing an amazing job in connecting people through horses, and it was so good to hear of the successes he is having, and the positive impact of Wild Horses in the community.
The Growing Role Models program, Wild Horses. MsD and Land Based Training all share in the goals of Whakatauira – Role Modelling, Whakapakari – Resilience, Whakamana – Respect, and Whakarangatira – Leadership. These goals connect us and provide the framework for growth and future development.
Kia Kaha Te Kaha whanau, thank you for your welcome and interest in helping us to help you.
Nga Mihi, Bob.
