Last week, our team was over in Turangi, training NZ Certificate in Primary Industry Operations Skills (Level 3). They were joined by teams from Hurakia, Moerangi, Mananui and Taurewa stations – part of Tuatahi.
This was a great opportunity to bring the teams together, not only to train, but to build a stronger relationship between the stations and leadership.
The weather held up, so our team of Cris, John, Linda and the kaimahi worked hard over the two days to focus on the training for vehicles and small machinery. They covered maintenance, safety and use.
We carry out this training via a combination of two-day workshops at Moerangi Station, tutor site visits for further training and assessment and on job training and assessment.
Feedback from our team was that the highlight was the fantastic BBQ lunches to fuel them all up for the long days.
