We are seeking expressions of interest from passionate and experienced Sustainable Horticulture Practitioners for the delivery of our Part Time Sustainability Level 4 course. We are open to delivering in various locations across the country based around you, if the interest from students is available. This course would be run one day a fortnight, in the weekend, face to face with additional learning, assessment and marking being completed through our online learning platform.

This role would suit a Sustainable Horticulturist who is passionate about passing on skills and knowledge to others and could be undertaken in conjunction with your existing sustainable horticulture interests.

Land Based Training is an NZQA Category 1 provider, delivering a range of Vocational and Foundation level programmes throughout Aotearoa.

The successful applicant must be able to facilitate engaging teaching and learning to a group of students who might vary in age, gender, cultural backgrounds and learning abilities.

The position requires you to:

  • Be an experienced Sustainable Horticulturist who is keen to pass on knowledge and support students in their learning
  • Be passionate about sustainable practices, biodynamics, permaculture etc
  • Engage and excite learners, make learning fun and interactive; your learners will want to come back for more.
  • Have good computer literacy and administration skills and be a great communicator
  • Be professional, committed and a have positive approach to adult education
