The old STMS training was able to cover all categories for Level 1 and then with further training to Level 2/3 Non Practising and then to have a practical assessment to become level 2/3 Practising. This has now been changed and the new training is outlined below.

Course Details:
This course provides the base knowledge for working on Category A and Category B road environments.
Category A road (CAT A): with only two lanes and with a speed of less than 60km/hr
Category B road (CAT B): with only two lanes and with a speed of more than 60km/hr

Brief Description:
The STMS Practising Cat A/B course is required for those needing to actively manage Temporary Traffic Management works on category A and B roads.

STMS Refresher
All STMS categories can be refreshed in a one day in Classroom course completing section tests and the appropriate CAT practical assessments

STMS of the relevant category (A for A refresher, B for B refresher) either current or expired no more than 12 months
