Brief Description

This is an entry level position in the Traffic control system and is assessed with 1 unit standard (31958). This unit standard is a pre-requisite to be able to move into any further traffic control licensing types.

Course Details

Training involves about a 4-hour classroom session completing the theory unit standard.

Then a practical session to learn to put up signs safely and layout a taper and threshold for a stop-go worksite setup. On completion of this training, we then go onto the road to complete a practical assessment to assess that the trainee is competent to do this for a worksite.

Each participant must supply their own PPE gear for the afternoon session:
